Meet Kinetra,
Kinetra Stewart is from Jonesboro, Louisiana. She attended Grambling State University and graduated with honors from Blue Cliff College in Alexandria, Louisiana where she received her Cosmetology Degree. She is also a veteran of the US Air Force Reserves & Army Active Duty.
Kinetra is a Bridal Hairstylist and Natural Hair Guru at The Vintage Hipster.
Kinetra always wanted to be a Hairstylist since she was 9 years old. It was the only reason she had dolls. She would later fulfill her dreams as an artist and share that passion with the world.
Kinetra grew a love for Bridal Hair when one of her clients asked her to provide Bridal Hair Services for her wedding. Once exposed to the challenging, but rewarding career, she decided to extend her education by enrolling in Bridal Hair Workshops to sharpen her skill craft to learn different styling techniques to build bridal clientele.
Kinetra received the WeddingWire Couple’s Choice Award after being in Bridal Hair Business for only one year. Kinetra has been afforded the opportunity to work with some of the most highly respected vendors in the Bridal Hair Industry. Her work has been featured on respected platforms such as Martha Stewart Weddings, Munaluchi Brides, Brides of Austin, & Washingtonian Brides & Grooms.
Kinetra is a rebel. She embraces challenges elegantly as she believes it is where you truly learn and evolve.
Kinetra has experienced multiple favorite moments and memories throughout her career. The laughs and vulnerable conversations behind the chair to the hugs after a long eventful wedding day is what Kinetra appreciate and values as an artist in her career.
Meet Shayna,
Shayna Roy, also known as Shay, is from Oakland, California. She attended The University of Las Vegas, Nevada and graduated from Expertise School of Beauty. She is married and has a son.
Shayna is the Bridal Hair Administrator/Consultant for Brides of The Vintage Hipster. Shayna’s aspirations and beliefs consist of surrounding herself amongst inspirational people that encourage and welcome growth as well as working alongside individuals she believes in.
Shayna enjoys and appreciates having the opportunity to build relationships while consulting with Brides to ensure they have the assurance and trust they need from the Bridal Team in order for their goals and vision to be met for their special occasion. Shayna has a passion for helping and servicing our Brides. She finds it fun, refreshing, and motivating.
Shayna’s personality is friendly, caring, and considerate. However, her fierceness is what makes her a self motivated swift learner. Shayna’s fearlessness welcomes confidence gracefully in any responsibility or task she’s assigned to. Her thorough communication and listening skills allows her to naturally connect with our Brides and Bridal Team.
Shayna’s favorite memory was assisting our Bride, Brittany Harris, alongside Kinetra at her very first wedding. She says, “Being able to meet Brittany Harris in person after conversing with her for months was so refreshing. It was at that very moment that I knew I wanted to be a part of every wedding. The energy that day was unmatched and unforgettable.”
